LOU NELSEN
Senior Barber
Lou is the pioneer of Barbers of the Lowcountry. He has over 24 years of experience in the hair business and worked previously in construction in New Orleans, La. Lou has a lifetime of experience giving precise haircuts for the perfect gentlemen without any fuss. He also heads up our Hair Replacement division where we do non-surgical hairgrafting. A cut or a shave from Lou is truely a memorable experience.
BRENT NELSEN
Senior Barber
Brent has more than 20 years of experience as a Master Barber and as a business owner. He has perfected the classic straight razor shave with a modern touch that will leave any man feeling like royalty. He travels all over the country teaching the art and technique of straight razor shaving. He loves making every customer feel important. When you experience a cut or shave by Brent, you know you have been serviced by the BEST!
PADDY MYERS
Senior Barber
Paddy moved here in June of 2017 from Spartanburg, SC. Paddy is really good at listening to what your needs are and delivering a haircut that will exceed your expectations. He has been cutting for over 6 years and loves his blade. If you have not received a Luxury shave from Paddy yet, it's a must!
DERRIS FELDER
Senior Barber
Derris is our youngest team member and loves barbering. He brings a delightful energy to the Barbers of the Lowcountry team and its clients. He is great at fades and solving peoples hair problems. He got his talent from his grandfather who was also a barber and has quickly become an expert in straight razor shaves. “I love playing golf and anything boats.” Derris has an infectious personality that will keep you coming back.
MICHAEL DURANT
Associate Barber
I came to Bluffton in 2016 from Boston, Go Pats, SOX and Bruins, to pursue a career in Barbering. My father moved here as a retired cop from Boston and told me about the Lowcountry Barber College Brent started. I always had a passion for barbering so I jumped at the chance. My favorite sport is hockey and my favorite NFL team is "America's team" the Patriots. I love making people look great and I know sports, just ask me.
JOEY DiSILVESTRE
Intermediate Barber
As a Lowcountry Native I have an intimate knowledge of the are and I know it like the back of my hand. I pursued a career at Barbers of the Lowcountry because of the camaraderie of the staff and the family feel. I love meeting people and learning new things. The shop provides all of that. Your look is most important to me so I look forward to giving you an experience you'll never forget. Go Commanders!
DONNY CROSSMAN
Intermediate Barber
I moved here from Benzie County, Michigan to attend the Lowcountry Barber College here at Barbers of the Lowcountry. I love hanging with my family and friends and I am so excited I graduated the Lowcountry Barber College and now get to be apart of the BOTLC Barber family and working in a fun environment.
DONNA NELSEN

I have worked the last 30 years in the school system in administration. In 2014 I decided it was time to retire. I am a self-driven individual. I knew I couldn’t stay home and do nothing. What is better than to work part-time in my family’s business, so I can be with my husband and son? I immediately started working here at Barbers of the Lowcountry. I love to greet the clients when they come in our shop. My favorite part are all the unique stories I hear and the conversations I have while men are waiting for their haircut. I thank Jesus for the success that He has given my husband and my son with this shop, and I am glad to be a part of it.

I started working at Barbers of the Lowcountry early 2021. You got it! I am Paddy's wife. I have been in food and beverage all my life. I moved here from Spartanburg, SC. I love working at Barbers of the Lowcountry; it's such a wonderful family environment. It also gives me extra time with Paddy, even though he stays busy all day. Whatever you need, I am here to serve.
