The ABC Experience is a technique developed by Antica Barbieria Colla in Milan, Italy. Barbers of the Lowcountry Senior Barbers trained at ABC to learn the technique and are proud to be the only barbershop in the United States to offer this service.
This multi-step process was developed to stimulate your hair follicles and create a happy, healthy, environment for hair growth.
Here’s what you can expect:
It all starts with a haircut. The haircut is performed on dry hair and, if necessary, it is completed by burning the weakest ends with a dripless candle.
The next step is a scalp massage to stimulate the circulation. If the scalp and hair are dry a special softening oil is used; if they are greasy, a lotion developed over the years is used to remove excess sebum.
Following the scalp massage, we shampoo your hair with Antica Barbieria Colla’s invigorating Shampoo Mandorla.
Then, we nourish your scalp with our herbal-infused Balsamo alle Erbe, and finish strong with our refreshing Lozione Capsico & Mentolo. This promotes blood flow to your scalp and will leave your head feeling cool and tingly for a few hours.
Finally, we style your hair just like we do after every haircut. Following the treatment, we encourage you to use Antica Barbieria Colla’s products at home to nourish your follicles and promote hair growth.*
